Intensive English Program Mentor Teacher

During the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 semesters, I served as a mentor teacher for two undergraduate TESOL students completing their teaching practicums at the BYU English Language Center. In this role, I provided guidance on lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional strategies, offering feedback on their teaching performance and supporting their professional development. I also facilitated reflective discussions, observed their lessons, and helped them navigate challenges in working with multilingual learners at varying proficiency levels.

BYU TESOL Alumni Association Secretary

As the secretary of the BYU TESOL Alumni Association, I help to organize and plan four alumni events throughout the year. In 2025, I planned and led the BYU TESOL MA Webinar for prospective students. In 2026, I am planning a Christmas service event to work.

TESOL 2026 Conference Hospitality Team Leader

In March 2026, I will serve as a Hospitality Team Leader for the TESOL 2026 Conference in Salt Lake City. In this role, I will help oversee the hospitality desk, ensuring that attendees receive the information and support they need throughout the convention. Our team will compile key details about all aspects of the event and provide on-site assistance to both attendees and other teams. I’m excited for the opportunity to contribute to the TESOL community in this way!
